OUR MISSION
We are on a mission to effectively manage the open spaces on our estate for the benefit of our estate residents.
We want people to be proud of the estate that they have chosen to live on.
OUR VISION
1st July 2024 - Important confirmation of recent communication to all property owners
Dear Owner
Since GPML was first created we have relied on solicitors and yourselves to keep us up to date with names and addresses of owners, and in addition, if the house is tenanted, rather than being owner-occupied.
We are aware that there are a few errors on our database around this, which we are keen to rectify.
We also feel that the future of our communications should be via email, if at all possible.
Therefore, can we ask you, as the registered owner of the property, to complete your email contact details using the form shown below
Alternatively, if you would rather, please complete the paper version you have received and send it to Wendy Evans, Chair GPML, 5 Goshawk Way, Thetford, Norfolk.
In both cases, you will receive a test email over the next few weeks to which we will need your response, to both confirm your email address, and to confirm that you would like future service charge invoices sent by email, rather than by post. If you do not use email, or would rather continue receiving paper invoices by post, please do not worry, if we do not have your email, you will continue to receive our annual invoice by post, just as you do now.
You also have our assurance that GPML is compliant with GDPR data protection regulations, and that your email details will not be used for any purpose other than in-house sending to you of service charge invoices, AGM details, and any other necessary communications. You can find the full GDPR privacy policy which explains how we collect, keep and process your personal information in accordance with these regulations here
WELCOME to the GPML website. This site provides current and potential homeowners detail of the management of the communal areas within the Nunnery Fields development built by Abbey Homes Ltd towards the end of the 1990s in the market town of Thetford, Norfolk.

GROUNDLOCAL is always looking for new members who live on the estate to come and join us as directors. It is a most rewarding role, and only requires you to attend around half a dozen meetings a year, these last around an hour and a half each, and are held in the evening at a venue on the estate to discuss current issues and solutions. In particular, if you are skilled within the areas of gardening or financial accounting then we would be most interested to hear from you. Please use the "contact us" link above to get in touch with us.
August 2024 Update :
Important : Sadly our gardening contractor is moving away and will therefore be leaving us. If anyone has any ideas of a suitable replacement, please get in touch using the contact us link, or directly via email to support@groundlocal.com. Thank you.
The AGM took place on Tuesday 23rd April 2024, and it was really a pleasure to see so many of you take the time to come along to both have your say, and to find out what Groundlocal is all about. Many thanks for your support. The minutes for this meeting are now available, and can be found under the "documents" tab on the header row of this page.
Thanks to everyone for paying this years service charge, the majority of these were received on time. It was agreed at the AGM that an "early payment discount" will be introduced from next year (2025) to incentivise all service charge payments to be in by the due date. This will help to save costs for us all, by avoiding spending time and money, having to chase up late payments. We will also be trialling notification by email, rather than by post later on in the year, to see if this would be a viable alternative way to send invoices.
